Democrats Hit with New Election Fraud Charges over Mail-In Ballots

Prosecutors in New Jersey have hit Democrats with fresh voter fraud charges after uncovering new evidence of election rigging involving mail-in ballots.

New Jersey’s Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin has added new charges to an ongoing election fraud case.

The case involves Democrat Alex Mendez, the Paterson City Council President, and several alleged co-conspirators.

The defendants are accused of attempting to rig the election, tampering with ballots, and obstructing the course of justice through witness tampering, according to AG Platkin, a Democrat.

Mendez was initially indicted on election fraud charges in 2021, according to the Gateway Pundit.

Now, new charges have been brought against Mendez.

His wife Yohanny Mendez, and two other Paterson residents, Omar Ledesma and Iris Rigo, were also hit with new charges.

The revelations came after an extensive investigation by the Office of Public Integrity and Accountability (OPIA).

The OPIA probe was prompted when the U.S. Postal Inspection Service found a stash of hundreds of mail-in ballots for the May 2020 Paterson municipal election.
