The Holy Spirit spoke to me and gave me the word “manifestation.” In my understanding, I felt He wanted me to study on it and practice it. I will share what I have learned about it, thus far. The word “manifestation” means by definition… “Manifestation is the practice of focusing your thoughts, beliefs, and actions on a goal to help bring it into reality.” This definition is from the Cambridge dictionary. Let’s see how this applies in the spiritual realm. Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” The kingdom of God operates on faith. Faith in the revealed word of God. We have to take things one step further when we wish to activate God’s promises. We need to believe and we also need to speak them into existence.
Even our salvation requires speaking words…Romans 10:10, “…one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation“. I remember when I said the “sinner’s prayer” asking Jesus to forgive me of my sins and take control of my life and be my Lord and Savior. I did not feel an inner change until I told someone of my decision to pray that prayer. Immediately upon sharing this, I felt as if someone had lifted a heavy load from my back and a feeling of great peace swept over me. God is not offended when we remind Him of His promises, Isaiah 43:26, “Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.”
There are many scriptures that state God’s promises to His children. A scripture that clearly states God’s intentions is Philippians 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” We can speak this scripture when we stand in need before God. God is not a man that He should lie. All His promises are true. We need to activate them in our lives. The way we activate God’s promises is by speaking them out loud and expecting to see them manifested. The same way that salvation is promised and activated by prayer and confession, all the other promises can be activated by prayer and confession.
Proverbs 18:20, “A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled.” There are many scriptures that tell of the importance of what we say. We have the ability to speak things into existence the same way that God did, because His spirit dwells in us. We can activate His promises by speaking them out loud by faith, and see the manifestation in our lives.
