There are good and bad Fathers. Fathers who take care of their children and Father’s who pretend not to have any. Being human, there are no perfect Fathers. We acknowledge the efforts of those who do their best to provide for and guide their children in this world.

Those of us who know Jesus, have experienced the love of our heavenly Father. His love is perfect and unconditional. We do not have to earn His love; it is freely given to all who seek Him. He supplies all our needs; we need but ask. Once we become a child of God that relationship cannot be broken. The same way that our relationship with an earthly Father cannot be broken. We may not be in each other’s lives, but we are still Father and child.

Because we become a new creation in Christ and are adopted into the Family of God, we can rest assured that our relationship will last through eternity. If you have missed out on having a loving relationship with an earthly Father, you have an opportunity to have one with a perfect heavenly Father. He will be there for you through every trial and never ever leave you alone.

Today, as we honor earthly Fathers, let us not forget to honor the greatest Father of all, our heavenly Father. Have a blessed day!
