President Donald Tromp is running new ads in Iowa touting his pro-life record as president. Trump is currently leading most Republican presidential primary polls by a substantial margin and the ads in this first caucus state are designed to shore up his support with pro-life voters.
The ads, which Trump’s campaign paid for, call the former president “the most Pro-Life President in history.”
They detail Trump’s record and start off by highlighting his Supreme Court nominees who eventually overturned Roe v. Wade, which has allowed over a dozen states to protect babies from abortions. They also detail Trump’s signing of the Mexico City Policy to stop “U.S. taxpayer dollars from funding abortion overseas” and discuss his march for Life attendance.
“For over 50 years, Republicans have promised to protect the sanctity of life. And while we waited innocent unborn children fell victim. One Republican president didn’t just make promises — he delivered,” the video says. “Living up to his promise, Roe vs. Wade was overturned. Thousands of unborn children say ‘Thank you.’” President Trump is fighting every day for the culture of life, and for those who can’t fight for themselves.”
“According to Facebook’s Ad Library, Donald J. Trump for President has spent over $6,000 on these ads so far, and we expect that number to increase, as the campaign remains active. This has made him the top spending candidate advertiser on the platform in Iowa this week,” the report about the ads indicates.
Earlier this month,Trump slammed Democrats for their extremist position supporting abortions up to birth and even allowing infanticide by voting against measures to protect babies who survive abortions.
“If it’s after the 9th month and the baby was born you put the baby aside. You discuss with the mother and if the mother doesn’t want the baby we execute the baby. This is part of their thing,” he said during a rally.
