Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has hit a new low. On Friday, September 22nd, the fledgling candidate for President will attend a fundraiser luncheon in San Antonio, Texas at an elitist private club called ‘The Argyle.’
Hosting the event is a list of 22 individuals, including current U.S. Representative Chip Roy (TX-21), and former U.S. Representative Lamar Smith, who also represented the 21st district of Texas. Smith represented Texas’s 21st District for 16 terms, from 1987-2019. Since his departure from Congress in 2019, Lamar Smith has become a registered foreign agent.
This isn’t the first time Rep. Chip Roy, who has endorsed Ron DeSantis for Presdient, has been caught attending one of DeSantis’s campaign fundraisers with dubious characters. On June 23, 2023, my team Team spotted Congressman Chip Roy and confronted him as he was walking into the CCP tied Ron DeSantis campaign fundraiser in DC that took place at the law office of a law firm that represented Dominion Voting Systems. The fundraiser was co-sponsored by Marc Lampkin, a lobbyist for Moderna, one of the largest COVID 19 Vaccine manufactures. Lampkin is also a lobbyist for AbbVie, the maker of LUPRON, which is a drug used to chemically castrate children who are undergoing gender transition.
Federal Election Records reveal that Lamar Smith has donated $9,900 Ron DeSantis’s campaign for President.
