A Ron DeSantis-aligned super PAC pleaded with wealthy donors to help raise $50million before the end of the year – just hours before the Florida Governor’s first GOP debate.
Political action committee Never Back Down spoke to dozens of wealthy Republican backers about how they are going to lean on ‘warm and humble’ Casey to make Ron more likable in the unfolding campaign.
Leaked audio from the meeting, published by CNN, unveiled how the strategists view Trump’s growing campaign and how DeSantis should present himself to gain more voters on his side.
CEO Chris Jankowski told the donors on August 23: ‘We just need your help getting $50 million more by the end of the year, and $100 million more by the end of March.
‘I’m not worried about the second 50. We need the first 50.’
