Several states throughout the country reported 911 emergency services outages on Wednesday night. The largest city affected appeared to have been Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nevada State Police alerted people through social media platforms that the outage affected people living in areas throughout Southern Nevada. Residents in parts of Nevada were unable to call 911 from cell phones and landline phones, starting around 7 p.m. local time, according to reports.

“URGENT: Southern Nevada – there is a 911 outage impacting your ability to contact Emergency Services in Southern Nevada right now,” read a post from the Nevada State Police account on X, formerly Twitter.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department also took to X to bring awareness to the 911 outage.
“There is a 911 outage impacting your ability to make calls,” the Las Vegas FireRescue account on X posted.
