On Thursday, Biden’s Justice Department unveiled the “Engaged in the Business” Final Rule, marking its official implementation.
This rule aims to redefine the parameters of being involved in firearm sales as a business endeavor. It expands the requirement for obtaining a federal firearms license to individuals who sell guns at shows and online to make a profit.
This broadening of background checks represents another instance of government overreach by the Biden administration, infringing Second Amendment rights.
The Final Rule targets the closure of the “gun show loophole,” aiming to enforce federal background check requirements on all gun dealers, irrespective of where they conduct firearm sales.
