We know that God’s ears are attuned to the prayers of His children. 1 John 5:14 “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us”.
Not only does God hear us, but He also answers us. The scripture does mention asking in accordance with His will. Now we know that certain things are in accordance with His will. His will is for us to be healthy; His will is for us to have food and shelter. His will is for us to grow spiritually.
Concerning healing the scripture says: James 5:14-16 “14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
The bible tells us to pray one for another for healing. Many times, when we are sick, it is not easy to summon up the faith to believe for our healing. Since we are the one with the symptoms, we may focus on the symptoms too much, causing us to not have the faith required for healing. I have been healed by having an Evangelist pray over me, I have also been healed by having God heal me directly, when I prayed. I shared how a couple of years ago, I may have had Covid. I did not know to call it by that name, but I had all the symptoms of something diabolical taking place in my body. My prayer was not so much faith-filled but earnest. I knew God could heal me and I begged Him to. I saw God remove something from me that looked like an octopus with suction cups. The symptoms went away. I later realized that it was very similar to the way the Covid virus is depicted. I once had what is called a frozen shoulder. It is when a person’s arm cannot be raised above a certain height. The shoulder becomes stiff and there is also pain in trying to raise the arm. I went to the doctor, and she diagnosed it as “frozen shoulder” and told me that I should come back for physical therapy.
In the meantime, I was praying and asking the Lord to heal me. I went online and found a natural supplement called “Heal-n-Soothe”. I felt that I should start taking it. In a matter of a week the pain was gone, and I had full use of my shoulder. When I went back to the doctor, she was amazed and asked me if I could tell her what I had taken so she could get it for her mother. God had healed me. The bible tells us that He will satisfy our mouth with good things to eat, so our youth will be renewed as the eagles. These good things may include herbal supplements. While I am not against traditional medicine, I hear of many of the side effects they produce. The bottom line is…if God tells you to go to the doctor, go. Do whatever He tells you to do, concerning receiving your healing.
Know, however, that there is no sickness that God cannot heal.
