Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
I know from personal experience that the way to God was made clear to me when I sought for Him with all my heart. God put someone in my path, multiple times, until he finally told me to say the sinner’s prayer. This is the prayer where we confess that we are a sinner and ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and come into our heart.
After I said the prayer and told someone what I had done, I had the witness in myself that I had passed from death unto life. I immediately received a feeling of great peace and felt as if a weight, I didn’t know I was carrying, was lifted from my back. Once you have the witness in yourself that Jesus is the way to God, no one can take it from you.
Sometimes it takes coming to the end of our ability to fix things in our lives to make us seek God. Sometimes it takes coming to the realization that we cannot live a fulfilling life without Him. We may have to come to the realization that we are in need of divine intervention.
I have been praying for some time that God would save the movie stars and the famous people that we see in Hollywood. I pray that those who do not know Jesus and have suffered from the recent California fires, will seek God with all their hearts. When they seek Him earnestly, He will draw them to Him and reveal the way of salvation. Material wealth does not compare to having one’s soul saved. There is a place called hell, and the California fires do not compare to the fires that exist there.
It is certain that we cannot take any material possessions with us when we die. However, we can look forward to spending an eternity with Jesus. There will be no more pain, no more tears, no more suffering. A lifetime on earth does not compare to eternity in heaven.
