Choo’s Food Corner: Flu Bomb

I have been kind of sick with some kind of flu cold bug over last 5 days, splitting headaches, aches and pains, upset stomach, very dizzy and a cough.

The cough started about 2 weeks ago now and just kept hanging on no matter what i did.  My girlfriend from Hawaii texted me and told me LOL take 4 onions and cut them up and boil in water for 15 minutes and drink as tea.  I was a bit skeptical but thought I would try it anyways.

I told everyone on the article what I was doing and Hurricane said he saw a video of it before but never tried it.  I asked him if he would get me the video and he did, then we watched more videos.

I got the idea that it needed more then just onions after watching a few other videos because my herbalist actually makes one that I used to buy from her.

So, I made my own.  I have to tell you, with in 20 minutes my splitting headache was gone and by an hour my lungs and sinuses were completely clear.  And that was about 4 hours ago and I feel brand new.  WOW

Ingredients

3 cups Water
4 Large Onions
1⁄4 cup organic peppermint leaves
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar with the mother
1 tbsp munka honey
1 squeezed lemon
2 cups warm water

Instructions

DIRECTIONS Put your 3 cups of water in a pan and start to boil add copped up onions, cinnamon and peppermint leaves, cover and boil 20 minutes In small mason jars add, fresh ginger grated, garlic, apple cider vinegar with the mother and ¼ cup warm water add Manuka honey to the small mason jars and stir well In a strainer with a bowl underneath, drain the onions, set strainer aside for trash… if you have cheese cloth strain again into another bowl to get rid of the cinnamon, you do not want to drink the cinnamon. If you do not have cheese cloth you can do what I did, pour into large mason jar and let the cinnamon settle to the bottom After cinnamon has settled to bottom, add ¼ cup to each small mason jar. Stir well and drink I did not have the lemons but will add tonight.

Notes

This is AMAZING healthy drink to help fight flu and cold bugs. It actually tastes pretty good to. Works very fast!
