Ellen Show crew claim that she turned a blind eye to sexual harassment and bullying by top producers as she apologizes to staff amid probe into ‘toxic culture’ and hints she will fire people

Senior executives at The Ellen DeGeneres Show allegedly groped and kissed employees, solicited one staffer for oral sex, and were ‘handsy with women,’ three dozen former employees have claimed. Kevin Leman (far left), the head writer and executive producer, is alleged to have solicited one ex-employee for oral sex and groped several others. Ed Glavin (top right), an executive producer, was known for ‘being handsy with women’ by rubbing their shoulders and touching them on their lower waist, it has been alleged. Co-executive producer Jonathan Norrman (bottom right) allegedly ‘groomed’ an employee by showering him with gifts and then attempted to perform oral sex on him. The bombshell allegations published by BuzzFeed News late on Thursday come hours after it was revealed that DeGeneres, the $50million-a-year queen of daytime television, apologized to staff over allegations the show was a hostile work environment for employees. In a letter addressed to her staffers, DeGeneres said that she takes overall responsibility for her namesake show and that there are steps planned that will seek to ‘correct the issues.’ She writes: ‘As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done,’ DeGeneres wrote, hinting that senior staffers would be held accountable. Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again.’
