former Vice President Mike Pence, who was President of the Senate that presided over the Electoral College on January 6, unloaded on former President Donald Trump at the Gridiron Dinner on Saturday.
Pence slammed his former boss Trump in his strongest criticism to date of his former running mate.
“History will hold Donald Trump accountable for Jan. 6,” Pence said. “Make no mistake about it: What happened that day was a disgrace, and it mocks decency to portray it in any other way. President Trump was wrong. His reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day.”
Donald Trump gave a speech at a location about twenty minutes’ walk from the Capitol on January 6. At the speech, he urged his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically make their voices heard.”
New video from the so-called ‘Q Anon Shaman’ shows him repeating the message that Donald Trump gave at his speech to urge protesters to “go home.”
