t
he three ex-executives who were ousted after Elon Musk acquired the company will testify Wednesday before the House Oversight Committee. They allegedly created blacklists, suppressed tweets, and hid accounts and topics without disclosure, possibly affecting the outcome of the 2020 election.
The committee will question Vijaya Gadde (former Chief Legal Officer), James Baker (former Deputy General Counsel), and Yoel Roth (former Global Head of Trust and Safety) on their censorship decisions.
Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said in a press release, “Big Tech and the Swamp colluded to censor reporting about the Biden family’s shady business schemes. We also know members of Twitter’s top censorship team debated how they could justify limiting the spread of the story. They landed on a policy that even some among them doubted.”
The committee’s hearing will focus on “Protecting Speech and Social Media Bias” on Twitter and the suppression of the Biden Laptop Story. The full committee hearing will examine the actions of three former Twitter employees who limited the spread of information from the New York Post regarding the Biden family’s business dealings, obtained from Hunter Biden’s laptop. Lawmakers on the panel will question these individuals.
