esident Joe Biden is going through a scandal revolving around classified documents and some people are now digging into his tax returns. However, some of the tax returns were removed from Biden’s campaign website. From the looks of it, it seems as though Joe Biden’s tax returns from 2016 to 2018 were removed or redirected from the campaign website – but when?
UPDATE: Washington Examiner comes through with a big jolt to the story:
The links went down sometime around July 2022 and, until Tuesday, redirected to an ActBlue page for people to donate to Democrats. Now, the links head straight to Biden’s tax forms, which the Democratic National Committee claims were inadvertently nixed from the campaign’s website.
“President Biden has released 24 years worth of taxes, and last summer, in the course of regular website maintenance, a couple of links to previous tax returns were broken,” Ammar Moussa, a spokesman for the DNC, told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday evening. “Those links are fixed now, and we look forward to Donald Trump and every 2024 GOP aspirant releasing their own tax returns.”
fIrsT of AlL (read it just like that) I make websites for a living and I can tell you that no one EVER inadvertently redirects a URL to anything. That is NEVER by accident and you have to confirm several times that you want to redirect any given URL. The DNC just spoonfed people a tablespoon of horse manure on that one. If you want something redirected, then you or your tech person must manually redirect it. You can do it at the server or registrar level. I know this because I’ve redirected plenty of sites.
